How to Calculate Instagram Sponsored Post Rates
The simplest rule of thumb is $10 per 1,000 followers. Take your follower count, divide by 1,000, and multiply by $10. For example, 50,000 followers × ($10 / 1,000) = $500 as a baseline rate. Engagement is the biggest: brands pay for an audience that actually likes, comments, saves, and shares, so a smaller account with high engagement can out-earn a larger, quieter one. Finally, exclusivity and usage rights raise your price: if a brand wants category exclusivity, whitelisting, or rights to reuse your content in their own ads, that is worth more and should be priced accordingly.
