How fresh your data is

What refreshes when — tracked creators, the Niches wall, and why a surging video is sampled more often than a settled one.

"Is this number current?" has a different answer for each surface. Here's the whole picture.

Your tracked creators

  • New posts — picked up daily, so a creator's fresh uploads appear without you doing anything.
  • Full catalogue re-check — once a day, every video we hold for you gets a new metrics snapshot.
  • Recent videosfour times a day, every video posted in the last 7 days is re-snapshotted.

That last one is the important one. A video's first week is when it either takes off or doesn't, so we sample that window densely instead of once a day. It's what makes breakout detection catch a surge while it's still surging rather than reporting it a day late.

Because we snapshot over time rather than reading a single number, you get trajectory, not just totals — which is what "this grew 6× since yesterday" is built on.

The Niches wall

Refreshed nightly, covering the last 7 days of TikTok. Custom niches refresh on the same nightly run as the curated ones.

What refreshing does not cost you

Re-checking metrics on videos you already hold is free and unlimited — it never touches your catalog cap or your monthly allowances. Your catalog cap counts distinct videos analyzed, not how often we look at them.

Once your catalog is full, newly discovered videos from a tracked creator are not added. Nothing you already have is lost or overwritten — but to take on new videos you'll need to raise the cap. See Plans & limits.
