How-tos/The Media Library
The Media Library
Upload your own photos once, sort them into folders, and Slideshow Studio uses them in every slideshow you make.
Updated Oct 8, 2026·3 min read
The Media Library holds the photos Slideshow Studio builds your slideshows from. Every image in it is one you uploaded. It belongs to your workspace, so everyone on your team works from the same images.
Upload images
- Open Media Library in the sidebar.
- Drop images onto Drop images, or click to choose, or click it to pick files. JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC (iPhone photos) all work, up to 20 MB each and at least 320 pixels on the short side.
- Wait for each image to change from Processing… to Ready. fypnow converts it, fixes its rotation and makes a thumbnail, so HEIC photos can take a few seconds.
Organise them
- My folders — make a folder per client, product or theme, then choose just that folder under Images from when you create a slideshow.
- Not in a folder — uploads you haven't filed yet. They are still used when a slideshow draws on All my media.
- Move to… — select images (or Select all) and move them into a folder. A folder must be empty before you delete it.
- Tags — fypnow tags every upload and writes a one-line description automatically. Open an image to edit its tags and press Save tags.
How images are picked
When Slideshow Studio writes a slide, it describes what the image should show and picks the closest match from the images you allowed, using their tags and descriptions, without repeating an image until it runs out. In the Slideshow Studio editor you can press Change image to pick another, or ask the chat for a different image and it searches your whole Media Library.
Good to know
- Your uploads are private to your workspace.
- Your plan sets how many images the library can hold. Deleting images frees the space straight away.
- A deleted image is removed for good after seven days, and slideshows that use it keep rendering until then.
- Slideshow Studio does not make AI-generated images. It only uses photos in your Media Library.
